Spring in the Black Butterfly

As we move closer to Spring, what is the expectation of survival for residents in the “Black Butterfly,” also known as the Food Wilderness?

Another season passes without concern for the environmental challenges impacting selected spaces and vacant properties — properties available only to investors creating rental units, both commercial and residential.

Local developers struggle to create affordable housing, often relying on hard money lenders. Who are the voices of power that speak for the people?

Coffee Notes from the Black Butterfly

Did you see the video shared by the Southern Baptist Church Leadership, declaring their position between Hopkins and Morgan, claiming this development is in the Black Butterfly?

Kudos to the Southern Baptist Church Leadership for sharing facts.

Empowerment is a process, an honor earned by those who labor for equality and justice for all, not just a select few.

💰 Funding and Accountability

It’s astonishing how millions (even billions) of taxpayer dollars may be allocated to institutions that fail to include the voices of residents living in the Food Wilderness.

The United States Constitution speaks clearly to the separation of Church and State.

So we ask: Who or what is the Main Interfaith Partnership? Does that mean ownership is not Southern Baptist Church?

🧠 Just a Coffee Question from the Black Butterfly

Let this be a moment of reflection, a pause in the rush of development to ask: Where is the justice, the inclusion, the respect for legacy voices?
